Micro-kinetics of ethylene and methane oxidation on platinum

چکیده

The kinetics of ethylene (C2H4) and methane (CH4) on platinum (Pt) is investigated in an isothermal Pt microtube. A micro-kinetic model C1 C2 hydrocarbon oxidation the Pt(1 1 1) surface established using density functional theory tuned validated based experimental results obtained from Density (DFT) modelling carried out to evaluate coverage selected species thermochemistry kinetics. reasonably predicts conversion temperature carbon selectivity C2H4 CH4 under various fuel-oxygen ratios. Micro-kinetic analysis this illustrates that formation oxygenates intermediates essential, which makes activity oxygen decisive catalytic activity.
